Punjab Medical College is located in Faisalabad, Pakistan on a 158-acre (0.64 km2) campus. It was established in 1973 - 1974.
The College provides separate male and female housing for both students and staff physicians. Teaching hospitals affiliated with the College are Allied Hospital and DHQ Hospital. The College provides separate male and female housing for both students and staff physicians.
Teaching hospitals affiliated with the College are Allied Hospital and District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Hospital. The current principal of PMC is Dr Asghar Chaudhry. The first group of graduates with M.B.B.S degrees finished in 1978. With a grant of Rs. 460mn from the government, the construction of new buildings, laboratories and the teaching hospital was completed in 1982.
In the past Punjab Medical College became the Center of student politics in Faisalabad. In recent years political activism among students has diminished greatly. PMC is recognized with the General Medical Council (GMC)and is listed in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED).
